The Timeline
October 1949 – Discovery of the HERA signal by Jodrell Bank in Cheshire, England. This signal appeared to be from some point in the future and contained information about a threat to human existence. The signal is not made public.
May 1952 – Human Evolution Recovery Administration (HERA) established by a worldwide group of scientists and philosophers. The organisation is independently funded. Bases set up in the UK, USA, Japan, Kenya, Chile, Switzerland and New Zealand.
October 1957 – Sputnik launched into low Earth orbit in collaboration with the Soviet Union. Sputnik was to become a relay station for temporal communications. The operation ultimately failed as no further HERA signals were detected.
September 1959 – Luna 2 lands on the moon. HERA and Soviet Union scientists collaborate in the order to gather information for possible genetic terraforming.
July 1969 – Apollo 11 astronauts land on the moon. Further testing for genetic terraforming and life signs.
August 1974 – Cryostasis tests on animal subjects begin.
April 1978 – Biomimetic human-machine interface developed.
August 1984 – Cryostasis tests successful. Animal subjects brought out of artificial induced hibernation and full recovery achieved.
October 1990 – The Human Genome Project begins - a collaboration between HERA and the Office of Biological and Environmental Research.
February 2000 – Artificial Intelligence achieved with the creation of Hebe. Hebe goes into neural decay after only three days. Despite the obvious ramifications, the project is kept secret from the public on ethical grounds.
May 2000 – A working draft of the human genome announced.
July 2003 – The full human genome announced.
February 2007 – Genetic Terraforming tests begin. Initial tests are unsuccessful but show promising results.
December 2010 – Genetic Terraforming tests successful. Amino acid chains detected in sample #HTDD27759GD.
May 2012 – The HERA Project is made public.
November 2022 – Holo-Imaging technology developed at HERA.
September 2026 – Discovery of the ‘Cradle’ in Ethiopia - the location of the formation of life on Earth.
February 2052 – Ares 4 – First manned mission to Mars launches.
September 2052 – Ares 4 lands on Mars. First temporary base established.
December 2145 – Worldwide rationing of fossil fuels.
January 2178 – First permanent colony established on Mars.
March 2232 – Climate change begins to escalate due to changes in the sun’s energy output.
June 2300 – Solar power transition undertaken. Huge solar energy super-generators created in Africa, Asia, Continental Europe, USA and Australia.
November 2499 – First subterranean colonies established in Europe.
May 3007 – Earth’s surface declared unsafe for exposed skin.
August 3012 – The Solar Apocalypse. A coronal mass ejection (CME) hits the Earth’s atmosphere. Billions perish and the surface of the Earth becomes uninhabitable.
May 3015 – Under World Government established in subterranean colonies.
UWC1 – Under World Calendar introduced.
UWC253.5 – The sun begins to show signs of collapse. Previous predictions of transformation to Red Giant proven incorrect.
UWC269.3 – Titan colony established.
UWC275.1 – The HERA gene created and first genetically modified human being born.
UWC 298.4 – Thermo-Nuclear Energy transition undertaken as the sun cools.
UWC424.2 – Scientists predict the sun’s transformation into a black hole.
UWC1548.2 – Temporal fracture detected in orbit around Mercury.
UWC1678.6 - First successful temporal reconfiguration test carried out by HERA on Mars.
UWC2999.9 – HERA signal sent back in time.
UWC3015.4 – Existence of life on Earth under threat from temporal fracture on Mercury.
UWC3027.5 – Temporal Shields developed and put in place in a 3 mile radius around the HERA compound at The Cradle.
UWC3036.7 – Bio-Alloy developed. The second generation HERA capsule put into production.
UWC3070.3 – ‘The Six’ are created – genetically modified human being with the HERA gene, capable of seeding new life.
UWC3085.7 – The HERA AI software developed. An Artificially Intelligent mind that controls the HERA capsule during the temporal reconfiguration process.
UWC3101.6 – The HERA mission enters its final stage. Genetically modified human pilots begin training.
UWC3108.3 – First HERA mission attempt. Mission failure.
UWC3112.5 – The Earth shows no signs of life outside the protected HERA compound.
UWC3113.7 – Second HERA mission launched. Results inconclusive. Contact lost.
UWC3113.4 – Temporal shield failure detected in sector BETA 4. Records cease.
